Overview

Seeking motivated undergraduate research assistants to support Dr. James Michael's experimental research in propulsion and combustion.

Projects include:

  • Spectroscopic and optical diagnostics of propulsion systems
  • Thermodynamics of alternative jet fuels for UAV propulsion
  • Air-breathing high-speed propulsion

Several undergraduate research assistant positions are available to assist with these research projects. Highly motivated students with an interest in propulsion, thermodynamics, instrumentation, and optics and lasers are encouraged to apply.

Prior experience with introductory programming or CAD is desirable.

Hours Per Week + Pay Rate

  • 5-10 hours per week
  • $15 / hour
Majors + Class Years Considered

  • All undergraduate class years
