Overview
Microfluidic Platform Development for Biomedical Application
One undergraduate research assistant position is available to support Dr. Elizabeth Lipke's work within the Department of Chemical Engineering in developing a microfluidic platform for biomedical applications.
Duties
- Design parts, housings, mechanisms, mechanical, and electrical components.
- Validate, test, and iterate on both existing mechanical and electrical systems.
- Build 3D CAD models parts and assemblies.
- Support production of existing microfluidics systems.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with CAD and 3D printing
- Experience with machining
- Experience with mechanical and electrical component design, analysis, and validation
- Hands-on skills and comfortable working with hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment
- Experience with user-centered product design.
Hours Per Week + Pay Rate
- 10 hours per week
- Pay rate is to be determined
- Electrical & Computer, Mechanical, Aerospace, Chemical Engineering
- Freshmen, Sophomores, Juniors, Seniors
