Overview

Dr. Wang's lab focuses on the biological conversion of greenhouse gases (CO2 and CH4) into value products. The research has both computational and experimental components. For experimental research, the undergraduate research assistant will receive training on basic lab skills, including cell cultivation and sterilization techniques, and will use various analytical equipment, including GC, HPLC, and TOC.

Responsibilities include assisting graduate students with experimental preparation, helping clean glassware, and participating in regular lab cleaning, etc. For computation research, the undergraduate research assistant needs to have a good math background and some coding experience. The student will be trained in using various big data analytic algorithm and various bioinformatic approaches.

Hours Per Week + Pay Rate

  • >8 hours per week
  • $10.00 / hour
