Overview
An undergraduate research assistant position is available to support Dr. Brendan Higgins' work within the Department of Biosystems Engineering.
We are looking for a highly motivated student to work in our aquaponics systems. Aquaponics is a sustainable solution to food production: we use the waste from tilapia fish to grow tomatoes! In this position, you'll get hands-on experience managing aquaponics systems, caring for fish and plants, and analyzing samples in the lab.
Hours Per Week + Pay Rate
- 5 - 10 hours per week
- $12 / hour
- Majors: Biosystems, Chemical, Civil and Environmental, Mechanical
- Sophomore, Junior, Senior
