Overview and Duties

An undergraduate research assistant position is available to support Dr. Brian Thurow's work within the Department of Aerospace Engineering.

Machine Learning for 3D Flow Visualization:
Dr Thurow's lab is developing machine learning based tomography algorithms for 3D flow visualization whereby the 3D flow field is reconstructed from image projections obtained using a large camera array. Students with an interest in artificial intelligence, machine learning, imaging, computer vision and/or fluid dynamics are encouraged to apply. Opportunities are available for students with an interest in either software (i.e. deep learning algorithms using TensorFlow) or hardware (i.e. design and operation of camera arrays) or both.

Hours Per Week + Pay Rate

  • 10 -20 hours per week
  • Paid position | $ / hour is TBD

  • Sophomore, Junior, Senior, Masters, PhD
