Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) 10-Week Summer Program

Location: University of Mississippi, Oxford, MS

The School of Engineering at the University of Mississippi will hold a ten-week program from May to August to provide cutting-edge research opportunities for undergraduate students interested in furthering a career in STEM.

Requirements

  • Copy of your transcript (official or unofficial)
  • Interest in pursuing research as a career, especially via graduate school
  • Two letters of recommendation
  • Cover letter or resume
  • Statement of research interests and future goals

Program benefits

Each REU student will -

  • Receive a stipend of $6,000, on-campus housing, and allowances for food and travel
  • Undertake research and attend specialist seminars
  • Enrich your knowledge of nanoengineering
  • Present your findings to peers and academic community
  • Gain skills for graduate school
  • Mentor middle and high school students in STEM
  • Experience historic Oxford, MS
