Summer REUs at The University of Alabama

The University of Alabama is promoting their fully-funded in-residence summer bridge research experience for undergraduate students (Bridge-REUs). The deadline to apply is Sunday, March 1st, 2026.

Offered through the Strategic Graduate Partnerships Initiative (SGPI), these programs provide hands-on research and mentorship in the following areas: 

• Alabama Transportation Institute: Autonomous and Connected Transportation (ACT)
• Artificial Intelligence for Operational Hydrology
• Athletic Training
• Chemical Engineering/Polymers
• Chemistry/Renewable Energy
• Food and Nutrition
• Psychology
• Social Work

They will host two virtual information sessions to help interested students learn more. Students interested are encouraged to register for one information session.

• Thursday, January 15th from 3:30-4:30 p.m. CST
• Wednesday, February 11th from 3-4 p.m. CST
