HRC 40th celebration

The HRC Turns 40!

The Highway Research Center (HRC) was established at Auburn University in 1985 with a mission to support Alabama’s highway industry through a coordinated research program. We celebrated its 40-year success with games, trivia, informational posters, and prizes to inspire more people to join those dedicated to improving the state’s highway industry.

Andrzej Nowak, professor and department chair of civil engineering, received an honorary doctorate from his alma mater, Warsaw University of Technology. This is the highest academic distinction awarded by a university in Poland.
