The College of Engineering organizes activities and provides services to welcome new faculty into the college and support them in their academic endeavors. We want each member of our faculty to feel valued and have all the support needed to be successful. 

More broadly, the University provides support, resources, and training to cultivate an inclusive and equitable workplace for everyone.

Community Support

  • University Office of International Programs | Supports the internationalization of Auburn’s instructional, research, and outreach programs. 
  • University Office of Accessibility   | The Office of Accessibility collaborates with all parts of the University to facilitate an accessible and inclusive environment. 
  • University Ombuds Office | The Ombuds Office is a neutral source that provides confidential and informal assistance to faculty and staff in order to express concerns, identify options to address workplace conflicts, practice productive communication, and surface responsible concerns regarding university policies and practices. 
  • University Office of Health Promotion and Wellness |  A free, weekly opportunity for all Auburn students to work forming and maintaining health and wellness habits.
  • Employee Assistance Program   |  A confidential assessment, counseling, and referral service for all benefit-eligible employees and their dependents.

  • College of Engineering Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Workshops
  • Safe Zone Training | An interactive, 4-hour training designed to educate faculty, staff, and students about sexual orientation and gender identity to create a safe space for LGBTQ+ students. Request a departmental training or register for a regularly scheduled session through Human Resources Development.
