Earn a degree from your fingertips
With 30 online offerings, we can help you take that next step in your education. Our online program provides an on-campus-equivalent experience and is ranked 16th among graduate engineering programs in the nation by U.S. News and World Report. We supply the faculty and technology to ensure your academic success and career growth.
Our Mission
To transform lives and bolster society by influencing the future of engineering online and continuing education through innovative engagement with students, faculty, and employers in order to provide an exceptional, student-centered learning experience in the science and art of engineering; we will support students and faculty in a way that will enhance recruiting, admissions, advising, and student support functions for engineering students and professionals enrolled in online and continuing education classes.
Graduate Certificates

If you are interested in continuing your education, but may not be ready to pursue a graduate degree, graduate certificates permit you to take individual courses in your chosen area of interest. This option allows you to continue building your knowledge in a specific area while also receiving academic credit. If you apply to Auburn Engineering’s online program, and you are accepted, any earned certificates may be later applied toward your degree. The GRE is not required to enroll and there is no limit to the number of certificates you may earn.
Professional Development

We know working professionals never stop learning. That’s why our professional development program offers 160 continuing education courses to put you ahead in your career. Our non-academic credit classes are taught by our own faculty, and other subject matter experts, giving you the same quality experience as anyone who is on campus. Whether you need CEU’s, license renewals or just want to improve yourself professionally, we’re here and ready to meet your goals.
Satellite Cohort Program

A company that has multiple employees interested in earning an Auburn Engineering online master's degree may choose to begin a cohort.
- Allows students to pursue a degree with the support of colleagues and employer.
- Takes online learning from a passive activity to a collaborative and engaging process.
- Expands opportunities for research and growth.
- Builds stronger relationships with classmates and colleagues to keep everyone motivated.
- Flexibility with course scheduling.
Each cohort will begin their studies together with an orientation prior to the beginning of their online courses. Students have the choice to watch their online lectures live, later, at home, or with their fellow cohort members. Programs range from 30 to 31 semester hours in length, an average of 10 courses, and generally take two years to complete.
Cohort students can choose among all 30 fully online programs (online master's degrees and certificates) that Auburn Engineering offers, and you do not have be enrolled in the same program as your fellow cohort members.
What students are saying:
"Overall, given the convenience of the degree and the experience I gained, I think it was a great experience. I've already noticed a significant improvement in my relationship with customers and colleagues, as well as my personal relationships outside of work."
