Interim Dean Steve Taylor
Taylor named interim dean
Steve Taylor has been named interim dean of Auburn University’s Samuel Ginn College of Engineering, according to an announcement by Interim Provost Vini Nathan. Taylor will begin serving in this new role effective immediately. He succeeds Chris Roberts, who was named as Auburn University’s 21st president in February.

Engineering showcase brings hundreds to Huntsville
The Samuel Ginn College of Engineering successfully completed its mission Tuesday at the U.S. Space and Rocket Center in Huntsville. More than 150 graduate students and faculty from all departments traveled to the Rocket City for the Graduate Engineering Research Showcase, presenting their posters in Davidson Center for Space Exploration to members of the Huntsville community and Auburn Engineering alumni.

NSF ranks Auburn University among top U.S. research institutions
Auburn University is ranked in the top 11% of U.S. research institutions, coming in at No. 100 among 915 universities, according to the National Science Foundation’s recent Higher Education Research and Development Survey. Auburn also was highly ranked nationally in a number of specific fields of research, including No. 54 in engineering.
