American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE)

Our primary professional society is American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE), the society for engineering in agricultural, food, and biological systems. The student branch of ASABE at Auburn meets regularly throughout the academic year, focusing on connecting biosystems students with social, academic, and service opportunities within the College of Engineering, College of Agriculture, School of Forestry, Wildlife & Environment, and the greater Auburn community. Their speaker meetings highlight alumni from regulatory agencies, consulting firms, and industry positions within chemical, biological, and environmental frameworks. ASABE social activities include departmental social events like the spring Farmers' Formal, community service events alongside the Biosystems honors society Alpha Epsilon, and working through the International Quarter-Scale (IQS) team on a quarter-scale tractor for the annual IQS competition. Recently, the Auburn Student ASABE chapter won the College of Engineering Alumni Council's Outstanding Student Organization, and won awards at the Southeastern Regional Conference Rally, including Most Outstanding Chapter and the 2027 Hosts for Rally.
