Co-op Program
The program requires that each Auburn Co-Op student works at minimum one calendar year (12 months), preferably with the same employer, within a chosen field. Students alternate terms of school and work, working for one Summer Semester (3 months), one Spring Semester (4.5 months) and one Fall Semester (4.5 months). The jobs students obtain are paid and provide practical work experience as well as a break from the classroom. Co-op work experience can prove useful when looking for a job after graduation, as many employers prefer to hire individuals with practical experience.
