Scholarships

The civil engineering department provides many undergraduate scholarships each year through the civil engineering scholarship program and through the Contractor License Fee  scholarship program. Civil engineering scholarships are funded by gifts and endowments from alumni and friends of the department. CLF scholarships are funded by fees paid by contractors as part of their license renewal fees each year.

How to Apply

Incoming freshmen accepted for admission to Auburn University and enrolled and transfer students must apply through the Auburn University Scholarship Opportunity Manager to receive consideration for university-wide and Samuel Ginn College of Engineering scholarships. AUSOM’s online features and benefits allow students to search, review requirements, apply and accept awards for available scholarship opportunities, all within one easy-to-use site.

All students must apply through AUSOM by March 1 to receive consideration for Samuel Ginn College of Engineering general and civil engineering department scholarships.

Department scholarship program
Incoming freshman

The department awards scholarships to incoming freshman based on their standardized test score (ACT and SAT), high school GPA, and extra curricular activities. The scholarships are highly competitive and are typically awarded for a period of four years subject to satisfactory performance by the student.

Current students

Students enrolled at Auburn may also apply for civil engineering scholarships each year. The number and size of scholarships available varies from year to year. Choice of recipients depends on factors such as academic performance, career planning, technical area of interest and place of permanent residence.

Contractor License Fee scholarship program

The CLF scholarship program is for Alabama residents only, and these scholarships are available to freshman, sophomores, juniors and seniors. CLF scholarships are awarded on a year-to-year basis. Scholarship amounts are based on academic performance and vary each year with the availability of funds.
