Undergraduate Opportunities:
Undergraduate Research Assistant: Valorizing Poultry Processing Solids. We have two positions in this area: one focusing on mesocosm trials to understand microbial communities and how we can minimize odor. The other position focuses on using fermentation of nutritional yeast to valorize this material.
Located at the CASIC building.
Available Summer/Fall 2024
10 hours/week at $15/hour
Responsibilities:
- Carry out lab-scale experiments under the supervision of senior researchers
- Collect and analyze data
- Learn the effects of microbial community
- Understand system performance mechanisms
