Letter from the Director, 

Gerard (Jerry) A. Davis, PhD, CSP, CPE

 

 

Jerry Davis, the Daniel and Josephine Breeden Professor of Industrial and Systems Engineering, serves as the Director of the Center for Occupational Safety, Ergonomics, and Injury Prevention.  Board certified in the practice of professional safety and ergonomics, he teaches graduate courses related to OSHA, systems safety, probabilistic risk assessment, and behavior-based safety. 

Dr. Davis earned his doctorate in Industrial and Systems Engineering, specializing in Occupational Safety and Ergonomics from Auburn University in 2001 and holds numerous other engineering degrees. In addition to these degrees, he has earned the professional titles of certified safety professional (CSP) and certified professional ergonomist (CPE).
