Undergraduate Researchers

The Stormwater Research Facility hires a team of undergraduate research assistants every semester to provide direct support to graduate students conducting large-scale experiments. Students assist in setting up experiments, collecting data, operating equipment, performing manual labor, and maintaining facility grounds. Students should be comfortable working outdoors, have the ability to lift 50 to 75 lbs, and have a personal vehicle to provide transportation to the research lab located at 1600 Lee Road 151, Opelika, AL 36804. Opportunities are available for graduate students interested in working on Interdisciplinary research projects and teams incorporating elements of stormwater management, construction management and engineering, environmental engineering, and geotechnical engineering. Applications are considered year-round and paid assistantships and fellowships are available for highly qualified students.
