Auburn University hosts North Alabama Industry Day

Interested in looking for a career in north Alabama, the second best place for career opportunities and ranked by Forbes Magazine in the top 20 business metros?
North Alabama Industry Day is an opportunity for students to take time to visit companies in the area that are looking for employees. Students can learn about job opportunities and what it is like to live in North Alabama.
The Samuel Ginn College of Engineering will be hosting the North Alabama Industry Day event on Wednesday, October 19 in the Brown-Kopel Center. Companies such as NASA, Boeing and Huntsville Utilities will have booths at the event.
Joseph Pelfrey, an Auburn aerospace engineering graduate and deputy director of Marshall Space Flight Center, will speak as the keynote at the event.
“As a land grant institution, we desire to work with employers within the state to assist them in building a strong talent pipeline,” said Apryl Mullins, assistant director of Career Development and Corporate Relations. “We want to educate students about exciting career opportunities they can have within the state of Alabama. It is great to collaborate with the Huntsville-Madison County Chamber of Commerce to provide networking connections with employers in the North Alabama Industry area.”

All majors are welcome to attend Industry Day. The event runs from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Business casual attire is required. Lunch will be provided, but it is first come, first served. Walk-ins are welcome, but registration is required ahead of time for lunch.
