Three Auburn engineers named to Auburn Alumni Association’s 20 Under 40

Three graduates from the Samuel Ginn College of Engineering have been named to the Auburn Alumni Association’s 20 Under 40 Class of 2022. The 20 Under 40 recognition was established to recognize members of the Auburn Family for extraordinary accomplishments, significant professional achievements or distinguished service to others. 

A total of 20 individuals were selected for the recognition. The three Auburn Engineering graduates recognized this year were: Emily Traylor, Ashley Gann and Brandon Young.

Among the nomination criteria, nominees must be making a substantial impact in their industry, field or community; must demonstrate the ideals of the Auburn Creed; and have attained prominence in their business, profession or vocational endeavors and/or performed distinguished community service locally, regionally, national and/or globally. 

Emily Traylor graduated with a degree in wireless software engineering in 2010. Traylor is the director of product management and portfolio integration for Fullsteam. In her role, she works with Fullsteam’s software company acquisitions to build software products and integrate the acquisitions’ software into Fullsteam’s products to support their customers’ payment processing needs.

Ashley Gann received a bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering from Auburn in 2005. Gann is currently the chief meteorologist for CBS 42 out of Birmingham where she has led the storm team since 2015. Gann earned a master’s degree in geosciences concentrating in both broadcast and operational meteorology from Mississippi State.

Brandon Young, ’10 electrical engineering, is the founder of Young Management & Consulting. Young started the company in 2015 offering a breadth of services to serve Houston-area clients in sectors including energy and infrastructure where they provide project controls and construction management. The company also develops technology solutions, provides agile technical project management solutions and owner engineering overview.

The Auburn Alumni Association’s 20 Under 40 Class of 2022 will be recognized at an event on Sept. 16 at the Auburn Alumni Center and invited to attend the Young Alumni Tailgate on Sept. 17.
