The Advanced Structural Engineering Laboratory (ASEL) includes an array of facilities from technical laboratories to office areas and a conference room.

High Bay

Vulcan Material Company High Bay Laboratory

This unique laboratory facility generates the ability to test full-scale structural components and systems, large-scale geotechnical testing, and full-scale structural components and systems including the effects of the foundation and the soil.

Concrete Lab 4

Concrete Materials Laboratory

The Concrete Materials Laboratory consists of 14 rooms and covers over 5,000 ft2. Rooms are designed to prepare and test paste, mortar and concrete specimens.

Geotechnical Chamber

Geotechnical Chamber

The geotechnical testing chamber is 24 ft long, 10 ft wide and 20 ft deep and is within the footprint of the strong floor. It has three sampling ports at a depth of 7 ft that can be used to access the test chamber or route pipes or cables out of the chamber.

Administrative Wing

The administrative wing includes six faculty offices and 24 student cubicles as the setting for a collaborative environment.
