Design Build Fly (DBF)
Purpose:
The American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics constructs a competition remote controlled plane each year with a unique set of design requirements. Students are required to design and construct a radio controlled aircraft that meets the design requirements and is capable of completing a variety of ground and flight missions. Once a year schools from around the world gather to compete and test the limits of their aircraft in order to determine which school created the best aircraft.
