The Alabama Center for Paper and Bioresource Engineering (AC‐PABE) is a dynamic responses organization focused on the needs of the pulp, paper and allied industries. The missions of AC‐PABE are to: 1) provide undergraduate, graduate and continuing education in science and engineering relevant to the needs of the pulp, paper and allied industries, 2) to conduct fundamental and applied research in line with the industry’s R&D agenda, 3) to develop and transfer technology to the industry consistent with the industry’s technology vision, and 4) to provide timely technical information to the operating sector of the industry. The center is well‐recognized for its unique capabilities to partner with the industries through the Auburn Pulp and Paper Foundation.
