The
marriage wall is the area of our home where the two
modular units join. Special recessed mounting plates
and bolts were used to ensure a seamless fit. The
wall is bolted together at the interior columns and
horizontal beam, and sealed on the exterior with a
compressive insulating material and caulk. The fact
that our roof joint is not in the same plane as the
wall joints will provide additional stability.
Snap
together connections are used for some of the wiring
that crosses the marriage joint. Interior design elements
such as flooring materials and wall coverings are
used in a manner that minimizes the visual impact
of the marriage joint. |
