All of the teams in the Solar Decathlon were provided with a Th!nk Neighbor electric car manufactured by Ford Motor Company's Th!nk Group. Th!nk Neighbor is one of a new breed of zero emission vehicles targeted for use in small closed communities - including retirement communities and corporate or university campuses.

Our team has evaluated the energy requirements and recharge profile of the Th!nk Neighbor and has developed a strategy for use of the car during the contest. All energy that is not allocated to other energy loads will be allocated to Contest 10.

At the end of each day, we will evaluate the amount of stored energy in our system. We will also check the weather forecast for the following day. We will charge the car only if we believe we have energy to spare.
