Thomas Lester's creation features a user-friendly, side-mounted push point which activates interior heating. Interior temperatures can reach 170 degrees Fahrenheit, while insulation protects users from burning.

The Auburn Alumni Association honored its 2024 class of Lifetime Achievement Award and Young Alumni Achievement Award recipients at a special ceremony on June 8. The Lifetime Achievement Awards honor distinguished members of the Auburn Family for extraordinary accomplishments in their personal and professional lives, as well as dedication to the university. Noteworthy recent graduates in the midst of their careers are recognized with the Young Alumni Achievement Award.

David, who joined the Auburn faculty in 2012, has served as an assistant professor, associate professor and was recently promoted to the rank of full professor.

Allan David has been named associate dean for research for Auburn University’s Samuel Ginn College of Engineering, according to an announcement by Dean Mario Eden.

As the director of safety, Brandon Daugherty oversees four safety divisions; Air Defense, Aviation, Operations, and Tactical Missiles. He manages a workforce of more than 80 employees consisting primarily of safety engineers, occupational safety and health managers and aviation maintenance specialists.

Bird Inc. is back with a $1.7M DOD grant for two years

Armed with a $1.7 million project from the U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) to revive the Bird Inc. program created by Cranston in 1996 to widen students’ worldviews to possible manufacturing jobs available after finishing high school, ICAMS looks to visit more than 28,000 sixth-grade students in Alabama throughout the next two years.
