Business-Engineering-Technology

The Business-Engineering-Technology minor educates and trains selected engineering and business students to develop new products, business models and business startups, while working in a team environment.

The two-year minor consists of four custom-designed courses delivered by senior professors from both the Samuel Ginn College of Engineering and the Harbert College of Business.

Students receive a thorough overview of all aspects of a business through hands-on experience in developing a new product, as well as a business plan for a new startup.

In the job market, this minor is designed to add significant value to the engineering or business degree by preparing students to work in technology-intensive firms by training them in to have the skills necessary for developing business plans, including market research, marketing, accounting and production management. The program also teaches the necessary technical skills, including intellectual property evaluation, patent research and engineering analysis of products and components.
