What is Engineer Together?
Formally launched in November 2022, Engineer Together represents the college's initiatives to cultivate an inclusive environment where all faculty, staff and students are welcomed, valued, respected and engaged; where they know they belong. Not only that, it represents an approach to engineering education where engineers problem-solve with a lens of equity and inclusion in order to design products, processes and communities that accurately represent the needs and interests of the populations they serve.
Students, Faculty + Staff | 10 AM - 2 PM

Everything around us is engineered, therefore we are all users of engineering. So who do engineers design for? This challenge will present participants with an engineering scenario to approach problem solving with a people-first mindset, consciously considering how problem solving will impact those affected by the solutions. Join a roundtable of your peers and a faculty coach or industry representative to address the given scenario with a human-centered design approach. Teams will report out their solutions and the winning team will receive a prize! More details>>
*The Design for Humanity Challenge sessions are available at two timeframes, but the content is identical. Students only need to attend one session.
