100+ Women Strong Graduate Student Fellowship
About
One or more $2,000 fellowship shall be awarded each year to Auburn University graduate students or incoming graduate students who:
- Are enrolled in the Auburn University Graduate School and accepted to a graduate program in the Samuel Ginn College of Engineering.
- Have a minimum college GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- Are recommended by their department graduate program officer or Department Chair.
Fellowship recipients will be selected based on their academic excellence, extracurricular activities and leadership abilities.
Fellowships shall be awarded at a minimum of $2,000. The amount of each fellowship shall be disbursed at regular intervals during the school year in accordance with normal university policies.
Each award is for one academic year. Prior recipients are not disqualified from consideration for this fellowship during subsequent years. Should a recipient become ineligible, a new recipient may be named using the criteria stated above.
Students shall submit an application including a résumé and a maximum of one page essay describing their leadership experience and career plans. These documents should be combined into one pdf file and submitted at time of application.
Students, alumni, faculty and staff may submit nominations. Self nominations are also accepted. Students will be recognized at the College of Engineering's spring awards ceremony and each student will be recognized at the 100+ Women Strong Scholarship luncheon each Spring.
*Nominations are open to all in the Auburn University engineering community that meet the minimum criteria above.
