Welcome to the website of the Vehicle Systems, Dynamics, and Design Laboratory (VSD2L), part of the Department of Aerospace Engineering at Auburn University. The lab was initiated in August 2018. Its research focuses on both conventional and unconventional atmospheric flight vehicles. It involves research into modeling and simulation of vehicle flight dynamics, sizing and tradeoff analyses of onboard systems architectures, and integrated sizing of vehicle and onboard systems with a focus on novel and emerging concepts.
We currently have positions open for PhD-seeking graduate students. We also believe in active involvement of undergraduate students in our research. If you are a graduate or undergraduate student interested in working with VSD2L on research, please get in touch. We look forward to hearing from you.
Best regards,
