Welcome, new AEP 25th anniversary committee members! Thank you for your support of our Auburn Engineering students, especially those who participate in the Engineering Academic Excellence Program.
The Engineering Academic Excellence Program has an esteemed legacy. Established in 1996 by Dennis W. Weatherby, it has served generations of Auburn engineers since. Though the name has changed from the Minority Engineering Program to the Academic Excellence Program, our dedication to our underrepresented engineering students remains steadfast.
We are overjoyed that you have chosen to represent the Engineering Academic Excellence program in its 25th year, and we ask you take certain responsibilities in your new role, including:
- Joining for our quarterly Zoom planning sessions;
- Championing all of our events and celebration opportunities for the Engineering Academic Excellence Program to your peers, friends and fellow alumni;
- Sharing our 25th anniversary publicity and celebration details on your social media platforms, if you use social media;
- Providing quality content regarding your experience or interactions with AEP or the Minority Engineering Program. For example, if you have photos, testimonials, historical content and trivia, and ideas for esteemed event speakers, please share these ideas with us!
- Showing support to AEP through a gift during this 25-year milestone. Your generous committee member gift can be pledged over five years, and our development staff are here to help answer your giving questions.
Thank you for partnering with us to make this 25th anniversary of the Engineering Academic Excellence Program great. War Eagle!
