The MITE program was instituted on Auburn University’s campus in the summer of 1978.  In the summer of 2022, the MITE program was reinstituted on Auburn University's campus. 

Participants will live on campus in one of the residence halls, engage with students in various activities, meet current undergraduate students, faculty, and administrators.  Participants will learn about engineering majors and a wide array potential of engineering careers. 

The goal of the MITE program is to provide participants with exposure and exploration to engineering projects through hands-on experiences.  Participants will explore engineering careers and their impact.
