Daniela Marghitu, faculty member in Auburn University’s Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering and founding director of Auburn’s Laboratory for Educational and Assistive Technology, has published her sixth textbook on information technology (IT) titled “Exploring Microsoft SharePoint for Office 2013.” The book is published as part of the international award-winning Pearson Higher Education Exploring series.
The goal of the Exploring series has been to move students beyond the point and click, helping to understand the why and how behind each skill, according to Pearson’s website. Marghitu’s textbooks were originally developed to enhance the IT skills of students at Auburn University but have been adopted in IT courses across numerous universities.
Marghitu is donating the royalties of her book to Auburn University’s Computer Literacy Academy K-12 outreach program that is designed to expose primary and secondary students to the world of engineering with the goal of strengthening and diversifying the engineering workforce of the future.
