Visit Policies and Procedures

Greetings from the Plains! We are excited to have you on campus to show you why we have the best student centered engineering experience in America. To ensure the health and safe of Auburn University’s community and our visitors, we have put in place the following measures based on public health directives from the State of Alabama and the CDC.

Before Your Visit
We require all visitors to register in advance of arriving on campus. To register for an engineering tour, go to To ensure the safety of our staff and students, we are limiting all families to three (3) members: the prospective student, and two (2) guests. We will not be able to accommodate walk-in visitors due to space and social distancing guidelines.

Masks and Hygiene
You and your guests are required to bring a mask to wear when visiting campus. Masks should cover both your nose and mouth, including masks without an exhalation valve. Masks should be worn at all times, especially when physical distancing of six (6) feet or greater is not possible.

Our public restrooms will be available for use. We strongly encourage abiding by public health guidelines, including washing your hands with soap and water for 20 seconds, or using hand sanitizer.

At this time, we are not able to offer refreshments or on-campus dining options to visitors. However, several restaurants in downtown Auburn offer both in-person dinning as well as take-out. If you need recommendations, just ask the student or staff on your tour.

On the Day of Your Visit
On the day of your visit you will be asked to check-in and complete a health screening questionnaire online through the VisitDays platform before your arrival. Once you arrive at the Brown-Kopel Center Welcome Desk you will have your temperature checked by our staff. Your family will then be assigned to a table in the lobby to wait until your tour guide arrives.

During your tour, we ask you keep your mask on at all times and follow all social distancing guidelines. We discourage personal contact and advise guests to maintain physical distance with the tour guide and not to offer a handshake. Instead, we can greet one another with a big “War Eagle!”
