Faculty and Staff

David Bevly, Bill and Lana McNair Professor of Mechanical Engineering, Director

Dr. Bevly received his B.S. from Texas A&M University, M.S from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and Ph.D. from Stanford University.  His research interests include vehicle control systems, sensor fusion, GPS, state estimation, and parameter identification, as well as vehicle navigation and instrumentation.  Specifically, Dr. Bevly has developed algorithms for control of off-road vehicles and methods for identifying critical vehicle parameters using GPS and inertial sensors.

Scott Martin, Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering, Co-Director

Dr. Martin received his B.S. in Systems Engineering from East Carolina University, and later received his M.S. and Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Auburn University. His research interests include GPS software receiver design, real-time kinematic positioning, sensor fusion for navigation, and control of unmanned systems.
