Dimension
lumber is what most of us know as traditional lumber
sawn from whole logs. The term dimension lumber refers
to lumber that is two to four inches thick and greater
than 4 inches in width. For example, a nominal two
by four or a nominal two by ten are considered dimension
lumber. Dimension lumber was used as blocking in the
SIPs and as framing lumber in the interior walls.
