The Samuel Ginn College of Engineering recently began an educational partnership with Jacobs, an engineering services company with 400 offices in more than 40 countries.

The two parties signed an agreement that facilitates the continued education of Jacobs employees through the Auburn Engineering’s graduate programs. The partnership benefits the more than 55,000 employees at all Jacobs locations.

Additionally, the agreement is intended to foster a mutually beneficially exchange of educational and research ideas.

“This partnership not only allows our employees to advance their own careers but also adds value to those employees from our perspective, as they develop new technical and professional skills,” said Scott Jernigan, project manager at Jacobs in Pensacola, Fla. “We look forward to working with Auburn Engineering.”

The agreement is inclusive of Auburn Engineering’s 12 master’s programs and 18 graduate certificate programs that are offered fully online.

This is the fourth educational partnership that Auburn Engineering has established since 2020, with three of them formed in 2022. The college has similar agreements with Radiance Technologies, PeopleTec, and Leidos.

Jacobs provides a wide range of professional services, including engineering, technical, and construction services, as well as scientific and specialty consulting for companies, organizations, and government agencies.

“We are excited to recruit outstanding students from Jacobs into our graduate online programs,” said Maria Auad, associate dean of graduate studies for Auburn Engineering. “I am hopeful that this will be a long-standing, mutually beneficial partnership.”
