Auburn Alumni Engineering Council inducts Class of 2031

Members who were inducted into the Auburn Alumni Engineering Council Class of 2031 were (L-R): Jeff Haars, ’85 electrical engineering; Reggie Spivey, ’87 and ‘94 mechanical engineering; John Prunkl, ’90 mechanical engineering; Christa Musgrove, ’07 mechanical engineering; Russ Green, ’91 industrial engineering; Kevin Gammill, ’02 chemical engineering; and Jason Gallaspy, ’97 and ‘00 electrical engineering.
The Auburn Alumni Engineering Council inducted seven new members during its annual spring meeting in April in the Brown-Kopel Center.
Each council class is active for five years, and those inducted into the Class of 2031 were:
- Jason Gallaspy, ’97 and ‘00 electrical engineering, chief technology officer for non-kinetic effects at Leidos
- Kevin Gammill, ’02 chemical engineering, vice president of construction at Vista Corporation.
- Russ Green, ’91 industrial engineering, retired and previously served as vice president of global retail fuels and vice president of lubricants (specialty oils) at ExxonMobil
- Jeff Haars, ’85 electrical engineering, vice president of the space exploration division at Amentum
- Christa Musgrove, ’07 mechanical engineering, facilities engineering manager of Brownfield projects, Colorado, at Chevron
- John Prunkl, ’90 mechanical engineering, co-founder and CEO at Ironclad Energy
- Reggie Spivey, ’87 and ‘94 mechanical engineering, CEO at Tec-Masters and president and chief technical officer at Veritas Technical Services
“We are extremely proud to welcome this distinguished group of individuals to the Auburn Alumni Engineering Council,” said Larry Monore, ’79 chemical engineering, who serves as council chair. “Their depth and breadth of experience across many fields and industries will be a welcomed addition to the council as we work to support the dean and the college as the best student-centered engineering experience in America.”
During the recent spring meeting, the council received an update from Mario Eden, dean of engineering, and addressed other matters to provide leadership and participation in areas such as academics, fundraising, governmental affairs, public relations, research and more. The group also approved its slate of award winners, which will be presented during the fall banquet.
The Auburn Alumni Engineering Council’s next meeting is scheduled for Sept. 25.
The Auburn Alumni Engineering Council was established in 1965 and held its first meeting in 1966. The council is a group of Auburn Engineering alumni who work together to support the vision and goals of the Samuel Ginn College of Engineering. The council meets twice annually to assist and advise the college, and its members serve on various committees geared to the mission and operation of the college. The council provides leadership and participation in areas such as academics, development, governmental affairs, public relations, research and more.
