From dreaming of Disney princesses, to becoming a queen herself, Mallory Holland, industrial and systems engineering senior, is living the Auburn dream.

Why Auburn

“Choosing Auburn was an easy decision for me. I grew up an Auburn fan and spent many years tailgating on campus with my family. As a student recruiter, I always tell prospective students and their families that Auburn is more than just a school — it’s family. It’s a place to grow and fill your educational, personal and career goals. I’m incredibly grateful to be part of the student body, and I wouldn’t change anything about my Auburn experience.”

Why Engineering

“I decided to pursue engineering because of my lifelong love for Disney World. I was always captivated by the magic of Disney but as I grew older, I realized the magic was made possible by the hard work of engineers. Industrial and systems engineering has allowed me to combine my love for people with my love for math and problem-solving. I love my engineering community, professors and classes, and I’m so thankful I chose this path for my career.”

Miss Homecoming

“Being selected as the 2025 Auburn Miss Homecoming is a dream come true. The moment has been surreal and one I will never forget. I am so overwhelmed with gratitude and joy, and I’m so thankful for Auburn and the people who have shaped my time here. Representing Auburn in this capacity is truly an honor and the ultimate Auburn dream.”

Internship

“I spent my summer as a quality engineering intern at the Mazda Toyota Manufacturing Plant. My project focused on transitioning defect entries from a manual system to automated system to reduce cycle time. I gained valuable experience in problem solving, teamwork and communication. Learning how essential collaboration is in creating a successful operation was something I’ll never forget.”
