Tiger Giving Day, Auburn University’s annual online crowdfunding initiative, will take place Feb. 22. Tiger Giving Day supports outstanding students, innovative programs and life-changing research.

On Tiger Giving Day 2022, nearly 3,000 Auburn alumni and friends fully funded 22 projects for various schools, projects and units across campus with total giving of more than $500,000.

This year, the Samuel Ginn College of Engineering has three service- and research-based, student-led projects with a goal of raising $10,000 each.

  • Expand the Ability of the Makerspace: The Brown-Kopel Makerspace is raising money for new machines to increase its capacity, creating more opportunities for engineering students to complete collaborative hands-on projects.
  • Enable Engineering Honors Society to Expand Outreach: Tau Beta Pi, the engineering honor society, is partnering with the Office of Outreach to create a program to tutor local students in STEM subjects. Tau Beta Pi is raising money to buy robotics for demonstrations to be used within tutoring sessions.
  • Apply Classroom Learning with NASA Robotics Competitions: The Auburn Aero and Astro Robotics Club and the Auburn Lunabotics Team are partnering this year to raise money for parts and travel funds to create a rover and enter NASA robotics competitions.
