Auburn Engineering ranked among nation's Top 35 undergraduate programs for 12th consecutive year

Auburn University’s Samuel Ginn College of Engineering was again recognized as a national leader in higher education, ranking among the nation’s Top 35 public institutions in U.S. News & World Report’s 2023 Best Undergraduate Engineering Programs for the 12th-consecutive year. The publication, which ranks undergraduate programs throughout the nation each fall, ranked Auburn Engineering No. 33.
“The Samuel Ginn College of Engineering is committed to providing the best student-centered engineering experience in America. We have invested significant resources into hiring renowned faculty, producing cutting-edge research that impacts lives, developing exceptional student-support programs, building and maintaining unrivaled facilities and providing new opportunities for experiential learning opportunities,” said Steve Taylor, interim dean of engineering. “This ranking is a testament to our continued commitment to excellence. It’s an honor to be consistently regarded as one the nation’s top engineering programs.”
Celebrating its 150th anniversary, Auburn Engineering also ranked No. 3 among public institutions in the Southeastern Conference and again No. 1 in the state. The college produces one-third of the state of Alabama’s engineering graduates annually and boasts several prominent alumni, including four astronauts and Tim Cook, CEO of Apple.
Diversity within Auburn’s 10 engineering programs – aerospace, biosystems, chemical, civil and environmental, computer science and software, electrical and computer, industrial and systems, materials, mechanical, and wireless – provide students with 13 different undergraduate degree opportunities, in addition to a host of graduate programs.
