The Samuel Ginn College of Engineering will host a week of student-dedicated festivities beginning Monday, Nov. 8 on the Gavin Garden in front of the Brown-Kopel Center.

Celebrating the hard work of engineering students, the week allows various engineering offices to demonstrate appreciation to its students.

“Engineering students work tirelessly throughout the semester and deserve to be celebrated,” said Corporate Relations Coordinator Hillary Allen. “Engineering offices are ready to recognize our students and offer words of encouragement as the semester comes to a close.”

Spirit Week was developed in collaboration with Engineering Student Council, Student Services, 100+ Women Strong, Office of Career Development & Corporate Relations and the Auburn Engineering Academic Excellence Program.

Events include:

  • “Fuel Your Finish,” with hamburgers and hotdogs provided by the Auburn Engineering Academic Excellence Program. The event will be held on Nov. 8 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • “Breakfast Bash” from 8-11 a.m. on Nov. 9 with chicken biscuits provided by the Engineering School’s Council.
  • “Worry-Free Wednesday,” with Chick-fil-a sandwiches provided by Student Services Wednesday, Nov. 10 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • “Start Today Off Strong,” with breakfast pastries and coffee Nov. 11 from 7:30-10 a.m., sponsored by 100+ Women Strong.
  • Dual events will be held on Friday, Nov. 12. from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. All engineering students are invited to enjoy smoothies provided by the Auburn Engineering Office of Career Development and Corporate Relations. Simultaneously, SignENG Day, held in Brown Kopel Suit 1131, is open for all students who have landed an internship, co-op or full-time job.

Student registration for SignENG Day can be found on Handshake.

“We hope students take away a better understanding of the available resources and support each office and organization provides throughout the semester. Take a break from studying to enjoy a little free food and engage with fellow engineering students,” Allen said.
