Civil engineering students, faculty member honored by Chi Epsilon

Two civil engineering students and a faculty member in the department were recently honored by national civil engineering honor society Chi Epsilon. 

Kelsey Doan, a graduate student, was awarded the 2018 Chi Epsilon Fellowship, one of only three winners named this year by the society.

Cassidy Crossland, a senior, was awarded the society's 2018 Southern District Scholarship, while Jack Montgomery, assistant professor, was honored with the 2018 Southern District Excellence in Teaching Award, given to the best civil engineering educator in coastal states from South Carolina to Louisiana.

Chi Epsilon recognizes outstanding students and graduates for their scholarship, character, practicality and sociability. Chi Epsilon seeks to foster excellence, connectivity and engagement among those in the civil engineering community to improve the world.
