The Auburn University student chapter of the American Concrete Institute was named an ACI Excellent University for 2016.
The ACI award for University Student Activities identifies institution across the nation that qualify for excellent status, based on points received for their participation in ACI-related activities, events and programs.
“As a college, we are extremely proud of the deserving recognition given to the ACI student chapter,” said Christopher Roberts, dean of the College of Engineering. “They have represented Auburn well and I’d like to thank the faculty advisor, Anton Schindler, for his leadership and dedication to this chapter.”
The student chapter will be recognized during the ACI spring 2017 Concrete Convention and Exposition in Detroit on March 26. Auburn will send 11 students to the convention and have two undergraduate teams compete in ACI’s student competition.
