Civil Engineering Class of '76 Scholarship
Civil engineering's class of 1976 is challenging all classes, past and future, to give back to Auburn in recognition of the value of their Auburn experience and education. Alumni David E. Dixon, Wayne B. Nelson III and Dale York have taken the leadership role for their class and established the Civil Engineering Class of 1976 Scholarship Endowment.
To date, more than $40,000 has been pledged or contributed to this endowment. Dixon, Nelson and York have set a goal of 100 percent participation and hope to build the endowment to $150,000 over the next five years. They also hope that their efforts set an example for other classes to follow.
The trio would like to thank each member and friend of the class of 1976 who has already made a gift. The scholarships will be paid to civil engineering students from earnings on the principal of the endowment, protecting the principal for future generations.
To contribute to the endowment, please send a check made out to the Auburn University Foundation* to Michael Stallings, Department of Civil Engineering, 238 Harbert Engineering Center, Auburn University, AL 36849. Please write "CE Class of '76 Endowment" on the memo line.
