Engineering Young Alumni Council welcomes eight new members
The Auburn Engineering Young Alumni Council (YAC) will welcome eight new members at its upcoming meeting in late April.
The council, created in 2013, exists to serve and engage students and young alumni of the Samuel Ginn College of Engineering. The group hosts various annual activities, including mock interviews which take place in the fall the week before the virtual career fair and networking events. The council also established an endowed scholarship, supporting current engineering students, and members participate in mentoring year-round. Alumni who are selected and participate on the council are those within fifteen years of graduation.
This year, the YAC was pleased to invite eight accomplished young engineers to their ranks:
- Jacob Beauchamp: Senior Director, Data Services at National Kidney Foundation
- Shelby Booth: Senior Consultant Engineer at FM
- Jasmyne Brown: Manager, Process Improvement at Emory Healthcare
- Will Bryan: CEO/Founder at Autonoma Inc.
- Lindsey Davis: Aerospace Engineer at Leidos Dynetics – Flight Systems Department
- Bradley Johnson: RF Engineer Asc Manger at Lockheed Martin, Aeronautics
- Danny Nocharli: Project Manager at Brasfield & Gorrie
- Chase Wortman: Owner/President at Outpost Technologies, Inc.
These new members will each serve on one of five committees: professional development, giving and engagement, networking, communications and marketing, and mentoring.
“Each year, we are proud to welcome additional accomplished and involved members to this hardworking group,” said Wade Welch, the director of engagement and donor relations for the Office of Engineering Advancement and liaison for the YAC. “I know all of our new members will represent the college well and serve as valuable assets to the council.”
