ISE professors named to Amazon, National Safety Council advisory council

In 2021, Amazon and the National Safety Council launched a partnership and nationwide effort to reduce the incidence of musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) in industry, and two Auburn University engineering professors have been named to the advisory council to support the initiative.

A team of researchers in Auburn University’s Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering was recently recognized for its contributions to the advancement of the practice of ergonomics through being awarded the “Best Paper Award 2021” by the “Ergonomics” journal.

Auburn University Provost Bill Hardgrave has announced the names of faculty who have been awarded promotion, tenure or both at Auburn University for 2020. Eight engineering faculty members were named to the list.

Workplace safety and ergonomics research training programs reaccredited

Two research training programs associated with the Center for Occupational Safety, Ergonomics and Injury Prevention at Auburn University have been reaccredited for another six-year term. The programs are “Occupational Safety & Ergonomics” and “Occupational Injury Prevention,” and both are sponsored by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH).
