Professor emeritus in electrical and computer engineering to be presented with prestigious IEEE award

Victor Nelson, professor emeritus in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, will be presented with the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Educational Activities Board Meritorious Achievement Award in Accreditation Activities at its annual conference on Nov. 22 in Dallas.

Professor emeritus inducted into Kentucky Athletics Hall of Fame

Long before his 41-year tenure at Auburn University, Vic Nelson was a star distance runner at the University of Kentucky from 1968 to 1971, winning seven SEC individual championships and being named the 1971 UK Athlete of the Year.
