Curry and Pete Glanton

glanton.jpeg What brought each of you to Auburn to study engineering?

Pete is a fifth generation Auburn student from Georgia. He grew up an avid Auburn fan and never had plans to attend anywhere else! His uncle was a civil engineering graduate from Auburn and encouraged Pete to study engineering. Curry only applied to Auburn and knew she wanted to work in construction. She pursuee a degree in civil engineering to give her a well-rounded background and problem solving skills.

How did you meet?

We met in the spring of our sophomore year in surveying class when Pete needed help with his homework!

Where are you now?

Our careers after college took us to Birmingham, Texas, Singapore, Indonesia, Canada and Illinois. Now, we have settled down and live in Carrollton, Georgia and both work for RaLin Construction. Pete is the director of preconstruction and Curry is a senior project manager. Curry has served on the Young Alumni Council for the College of Engineering since 2021 and is a member of 100+ Women Strong. We established the Pete and Curry Glanton Endowed Scholarship in the Samuel Ginn College of Engineering in 2018. We are hopeful that our three girls, Miller (5), Annie (2.5), and Juliette (9 mo), will be future Auburn Engineers!

What’s your favorite Auburn-related memory or moment together?

Our favorite memory together was attending the 2010 National Championship game in Arizona together our junior year of college.
