Engineering students have opportunities that extend far beyond the classroom. Within the College of Engineering, students can get involved in a wide range of activities and organizations that help them build leadership skills, form lasting connections, and apply what they are learning in meaningful ways. These opportunities include student chapters of professional engineering organizations, academic honor societies, and the Cupola Engineering Society, whose members serve as ambassadors for the college and help represent Auburn Engineering to prospective students, alumni, and visitors.

Students may also choose to participate in several of the college’s most visible and competitive organizations. Teams such as Formula SAE and Baja SAE give students the chance to design, build, test, and race vehicles in national competitions, while groups like concrete canoe and steel bridge combine technical knowledge with teamwork, creativity, and hands-on problem-solving. Engineers Without Borders offers another meaningful avenue for involvement, allowing students to use their skills in service-oriented projects that can make a lasting impact on communities.

In addition to engineering-focused organizations, many engineering students are active across the broader Auburn campus community. Together, these experiences help create a well-rounded college experience and allow students to grow academically, professionally, and personally.
