Wall of Honor Recognition Highlights Anniversary Celebration

About 100 members of the NCAT family attended the anniversary events, which lasted from 5 p.m. to about 8 p.m. Among those in attendance were 15 inaugural NCAT Wall of Honor members, who were recognized for their dedication to fulfilling NCAT’s mission through the last 25 years.

The first 18 Wall of Honor members, including three deceased, were recognized at an awards ceremony with individual plaques featuring a carved Wall of Honor membersportrait and short statement of their contributions to NCAT. Duplicates of their plaques are displayed at the NCAT main facility, underneath a brass title plate on a mahogany base and bronze “Wall of Honor” lettering.

along with NCAT director Randy West. The ceremony, held in the Michael B. McCartney suite, also included remarks by Larry Benefield, dean of the Auburn College of Engineering, and Paul Parks, Michael McCartney and Charlie Potts, all charter members of the NCAT board of Directors. 

A buffet-style dinner in the Lowe Grand Foyer followed the awards ceremony.  Honorees, board members, NCAT employees, and family and friends enjoyed food and fellowship, all celebrating NCAT’s myriad contributions to the asphalt paving industry through the last 25 years.
